How to make a see-through glass effect

1. Crushing hard candies with a hammer or hard mallet

2. Make holes of the desired sizes and shapes in the unbaked cookies and then fill the holes with crushed candy.

3. During baking, the candy melts to create the glass effect. Be sure not to remove the cookies from the cookie sheet until they've cooled completely and the candy has hardened again.

**This recipe is from the book "Cookie Craft" by Valerie Peterson and Janice Fryer.
